Working with Tags

When creating a lot of cards at once — you will run into a situation where you have to repeat your tags over and over again:

Question 1 #flashcard #tagA #tagB #tagC
Answer 1

Question 2 #flashcard #tagA #tagB #tagC

Question 3 #flashcard #tagA #tagB #tagC

This is where the Tag Group comes in handy 🏷

You can create a Tag Group using a special tag: #tags

The above example becomes:

#tags #tagA #tagB #tagC

Question 1 #flashcard 
Answer 1
- - -

Question 2 #flashcard
Answer 2
- - -

Question 3 #flashcard
Answer 3
- - -

Every card below #tags will have all the tags attached automatically 👍 (#tagA #tagB #tagC)

Pro Tip

In the above example, because there is no content between the cards, you can drop the end of the card “- - -”, e.g.

#tags #tagA #tagB #tagC

Question 1 #flashcard 
Answer 1

Question 2 #flashcard
Answer 2

Question 3 #flashcard
Answer 3

So that the #flashcard tag from the next card works as “- - -”

This cleans up the page nicely.

Nested Tags

NeuraCache supports nested tags 👍  So that you can write your tags like this

Question : Answer #flashcard/year2022/classX

which is equivalent of

Question: Answer #flashcard #year2022 #classX
